NSF LAUNCHES GLOBAL CENTERS 2024 COMPETITION
The National Science Foundation (NSF) recently launched the Global Centers 2024 competition in partnership with five other countries and their research funding agencies including Canada, Finland, Japan, the Republic of Korea and the United Kingdom. The theme of this year's competition is, "Addressing Global Challenges through the Bioeconomy." The program encourages proposal submissions that will enhance diversity in STEM, and will fall under two overarching categories: "Leveraging Biodiversity Across the Tree of Life to Power the Bioeconomy" and "Biofoundries." Winning teams will earn up to $5 million to establish their own Global Centers
