AU's Office of Sustainability has upgraded SOC's Graduate Academic Services office certification to the Gold Level. Professor Natalie Hopkinson (SOC), Professor Sonya Grier (KOGOD) and Professor Brigid Maher(SOC) are recipients of the Deputy Provost & Dean of Faculty’s Pilot Grant Award for faculty-student scholarly and creative collaboration. The funds will go towards building a communication and strategy plan for the Anacostia Youth Media Festival and was selected by the review committee to receive $7500 in team funding for Spring 2023.
