Sacramento State leaders attended services at area churches this week as part of Super Sunday, the CSU’s annual effort to enroll more Black students in college and help them earn their degrees.
President Luke Wood, in a video message to participating houses of worship, called Sac State one of the most diverse universities in the western United States. He cited various programs, including the nation’s first Black Honors College, as reasons why congregants and their families should consider attending.
“We truly have invested in our students through groundbreaking and intentional initiatives,” Wood said.
