Welcome to the first edition of In a Nutshell—our bi-weekly e-newsletter for the Fall FUNDraiser Program (formerly known as the Snacks & Magazines Program). Whether you’ve participated in previous years, or this is your first season, we are truly grateful for your assistance in supporting this fast, easy, and rewarding sale that's designed to help your troop earn startup funds in the Fall.

Join us for our virtual training in Zoom for Troop Leaders and Troop Fall Product Managers starting at 7:05pm on September 10. Register for this session today. Can’t make it? This session will be recorded and posted in gsLearn.

Share the opportunity with your troop to view the virtual kick-off rally for Girl Scouts also on Sept. 10. This rally will be streamed live on the Girl Scouts River Valleys YouTube and Facebook. Remind your Girl Scouts to RSVP to attend the rally and they will receive a reminder email and activity sheet the week of the rally.
- Stop by our Fall FUNDraiser Open Houses on Saturday, September 14 at Brooklyn Center from 10am – 1:00pm and Rochester from 1 PM – 4 PM. Visit the Girl Scout Shop, sample a new Fall FUNDraiser snack, view the patches and mascot, take part in an activity, and visit with the Product Program Team. See you there!

Fall FUNDraiser Sales Materials

Your Community Product Leader will reach out to you with information on how/when to pick up your troop sales materials, which are scheduled to arrive the week of September 2. The sales materials include:

What’s in store for 2024? Besides a new name, here’s a sneak peek at the enhancements for the Fall FUNDraiser:

Fall FUNDraiser Family Responsibility Form |
The Fall FUNDraiser Family Responsibility Form will be completed in the M20S online system. Girl Scouts that use M20S for their sale will complete the form during their first login to the system. These Girl Scouts do not need to complete an additional form on our website.
If a member of your troop does not wish to use M20S, no worries! Direct those families to the Online Fall FUNDraiser Family Responsibility Form. Before completing the form, remind families of the troop number and your preferred email address. You’ll receive an email to alert of a new form submission. Didn’t receive an email? You can confirm your Girl Scout families completed the form by checking this live report. Use the password Peanut24! to access the information.
Here’s a sample message you can send to the families in your troop:
Hello! It’s time for the annual Fall FUNDraiser sale for Girl Scouts! Connect with me to pick up your sales materials before the program begins on September 23. You can also check out the Selling Resources for more helpful information. Register your Girl Scout’s online account in M2OS starting on Go Day, September 23. If you’re utilizing the online system M20S throughout your sale, you will complete a Family Responsibility Form at your first sign on. No additional action is needed after that. If your Girl Scout does not plan to use M20S, complete the Family Responsibility Form before you begin your sale. You can complete it here: Online Fall FUNDraiser Family Responsibility Form. Our troop number is XXXXX. When completing the form, use the email address of (insert preferred email address) to ensure I receive an email copy of your form. If you have any questions or need help filling out the form, let me know. Thanks for helping to support our troop as we begin the new Girl Scout year.

Community Fall Product Leader Virtual Training
|
Join us for a virtual training session for all Community Product Leaders on Thursday, Sept. 5, from 7:05pm – 7:45pm. Learn about the updates to this year's Fall FUNDraiser and get your questions answered from the Product Program Team. Can’t make it? A recording of the session will be available in gsLearn for review. Register to attend the session today.
You’ll receive an email the week of September 16 with your access to M2OS, the online management system for the Fall FUNDraiser. We’ll cover more details on M2OS in our next In a Nutshell email.

Fall FUNDraiser Materials & Connecting with Troops |
Fall FUNDraiser sales materials will ship the week of September 2. Missing your shipment? Contact us to track it down. If you need additional materials, complete the Fall Product Materials Request Form to request added supplies.

Reach out to troops to promote the sale and inform them of when and where they can pick up their materials after the items arrive. Here is a sample email you can send to troops or post on your Community’s social media or Rallyhood site:
Girl Scouts River Valleys’ Fall FUNDraiser (previously Snacks & Magazines) begins on September 23. This sale is such a quick and easy way for troops to earn proceeds early -- and practice their skills before cookie season! This sale is even more rewarding with troops earning 12% of their sales in troop proceeds. Along with a great assortment of snack items, customers can also choose from three Girl Scout themed BarkBoxes, magazines, Tervis drinkware, and personalized products too. There’s literally something for everyone! Interested troops can pick up your sales materials from me at (insert place/time). You can preview the materials, complete online training, and check out additional resources. Feel free to also reach out to me with any questions you might have about the program.
