Bolin Creek Stormwater Collaborative Receives the 2024 Project of the Year Award |

The Bolin Creek Stormwater Collaborative has been honored with the 2024 Project of the Year Award in the Natural Systems category by the American Public Works Association – North Carolina Chapter (APWA-NC). Orange County Stormwater participated in the Collaborative.
This award honors an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) 319 Grant Project, which created a Regenerative Stormwater Conveyance (RSC) system in the Bolin Forest subdivision to restore an eroded water channel that flows into Carrboro’s Bolin Creek.

The Orange County Department of Social Services is hosting the Toy Chest, which is an annual holiday toy program that supplies low-income Orange County children with new toys. In 2023, Toy Chest provided holiday cheer for 1,205 families and 2,019 children ages 0-12 with presents, books, clothing and food. Consider donating money, toys or your time to make this year's event a success.
