DOE ANNOUNCES $27M INVESTMENT TO HELP 40 COMMUNITIES LEAD THE US' EQUITABLE AND CLEAN ENERGY FUTURE
The Department of Energy has announced $27 million to help 40 state, local and Tribal governments lead the United States' equitable and clean energy future. The Energy Future Grants will provide financial and technical assistance to those entities that are working to, "enhance energy affordability, access, and opportunities for communities." This includes $500,000 to one North Carolina initiative, "Building Community Resilience Through Regional Connections and Energy Investments," from the Central Pines Regional Council.
