Final Workday Preparations and Go-Live Support

The timely update provided below is for faculty and staff as a part of Encompass.

 

Workday goes live on January 5, and we want you to feel fully prepared. Below you’ll find the final resources to review and bookmark, along with clear support options available during the transition.

We are excited to bring you a new, simpler, and more connected way to work in the new year. Get ready to log in at workday.olemiss.edu (the URL will go live on January 5).

Self-service resources to support you

Take these actions before January 5:

  • Bookmark the Job Aids and Demos page
  • Review the Workday Employee Training Map
  • Register for a Workday 101 Post–Go-Live session (January 5 - 16)
  • Watch the Workday 101 Pre-Go-Live recording

Go-Live Support

Supporting the campus community

We are fully committed to helping the entire campus transition to Workday with clarity and confidence.

In the first 30–60 days, especially, you’ll have access to a wide range of support options designed to meet you where you are and help you get the most out of Workday from day one.

Self-Service Tools (Start Here) 

Use Workday 101: Post–Go-Live sessions, Job Aids, Demos, and other tools outlined above. These resources will walk you through core tasks and processes.

Also, Workday features built-in support to help employees find answers quickly within the system:

  • Help Articles: Search for guidance by typing your question into the Workday search bar, then selecting the Articles filter. New articles will continue to be added after go-live.
  • Workday Assistant: An AI-powered conversational tool that helps you quickly locate actions and tasks. Access it via the chat bubble icon in the top-right toolbar.
 

Further Support

If the self-service tools do not address your questions or needs, additional options are available:

  • On-Campus Assistance
    • Main Campus Office Hours (January 5–16)
      • 9:30–11:30 a.m. | Jackson Avenue Center Auditorium C
      • 1:00–3:00 p.m. | J.D. Williams General Library (106D/E)
    • Remote On-Campus Support: Workday support for remote campuses will be coordinated through each location’s assigned Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP). Please reach out to your HRBP for assistance.
  • Workday Help: An intelligent case management system within Workday that helps employees submit a case for more complex issues. If you cannot find what you are looking for or need help with a business process, create a case with Workday Help.
    • To access Workday help, select Menu in the top right of the screen and then select Help within the Personal section of the Menu. Select Create Case.
  • Encompass Customer Care Center: A dedicated support center for all Encompass implementations that will be available for the first 30-60 days of the Workday go-live.
    • To reach the Encompass Customer Care Center, call extension 5555.
    • Available Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
    • Note: This number will also support future Encompass go-lives for consistency and convenience.
