Students de-stress with puppy yoga
|
Leslie Lorenzana, who is pursuing a master’s degree in social work, saw the School of Social Work’s puppy yoga event as an opportunity to recharge after turning in her last final. In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, Mavericks stretched and decompressed while watching adoptable puppies frolic next to them in the School of Social Work and College of Nursing and Health Innovation Smart Hospital Courtyard.
“After a long semester, events like this where you can be in a community and just unwind from the stress of school, work, and life are a great way to take your mind off everything, relax, and be with fellow students who want to unwind as well,” Lorenzana said.
