Ultra-endurance bike racer Lael Wilcox ’08 was the first woman to cross the finish line at the 2023 Tour Divide, a 2,745-mile bike race from Banff, Canada, to Antelope Wells, New Mexico, on the U.S.-Mexico border. She finished with an impressive time of 16 days, 20 hours, and 17 minutes after battling rain, mud, headwinds, and extreme heat.
