2025-26 Presidential Awards Winners Uphold Commitment to Duke’s Values
Duke has named five individuals and two teams as the 2025–26 Presidential Award winners, recognizing staff and faculty who exemplify the university’s core values of respect, trust, inclusion, discovery and excellence. Honorees include the Duke University Hospital Flood Response Team, which restored critical operations within days of a major water emergency, and the Duke Lemur Center staff, celebrated for exceptional animal care, research support and recent dual accreditations. Individual awardees span the university and health system, from educators expanding opportunity and inclusion, to frontline staff demonstrating extraordinary reliability and leadership, to clinicians and administrators improving patient safety and strengthening community culture. The recipients will be honored at a campus ceremony on March 17.
