Joseph Califano Steps Down as Director of Moores Cancer Center
|
Dr. Joseph Califano will resign as Moores Director and return to his roles as Iris and Matthew Strauss Chancellor’s Endowed Chair in Head and Neck Surgery and Director of the Hanna and Mark Gleiberman Head and Neck Cancer Center. Dr. Califano will focus his attention on patient care and his NIH-funded laboratory research on the molecular and biological basis of head and neck cancer. A national search for the next Moores Director is underway, and Dr. Califano will remain Director until a new Director is in place.
