GLOBAL CAREER ACCELERATOR |

Starting this summer, undergraduate students can enroll in the UNT Global Career Accelerator. The six-credit hour course will be offered during the 10 Week Summer Session. In this fully online, project-based program, you will complete work connected to organizations with global reach such as Intel, OpenAI, L’Oréal and the Grammys.

You also will gain experience using industry tools including Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, Python, SQL and Tableau, while strengthening the communication and professional skills employers expect.

Speaking of summer, applications for summer housing are now open. There are three different housing options to choose from to fit your summer schedule. Spots are limited and are awarded on a first come, first served basis, so if you plan to stay on campus this summer, apply as soon as possible.

The UNT Alumni Association is seeking passionate students with strong communication skills to become members of the UNT Student Alumni Ambassador program. SAA members gain valuable networking opportunities and leadership experience by engaging with the UNT alumni community and serving as official student representatives of the Alumni Association. Applications are open until Monday, April 20, with in-person interviews conducted Wednesday, April 22, through Friday, April 24. Selections will be announced the last week of April.

Also, for graduating students, register and come to the Alumni 101 series designed to help you navigate post-grad life with confidence. Learn essential career and financial skills and discover how to stay connected with UNT after you graduate. The upcoming sessions are Thursday, April 9, Tuesday, April 15, and Wednesday, April 22. Attend at least two sessions to receive a UNT zipper pull for your graduation robe!

Register now for the April 21 LinkedIn Open to Work Lab, an interactive experience where students will hear from industry leaders on how to navigate what work looks like now and what it means for you. Whether you’re exploring career paths or getting ready to graduate, this experience is designed to help you take your next step with confidence.

LinkedIn also is sponsoring a pop-up event from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, April 20, through Wednesday, April 22, in the Business Leadership Building Commons (first level). All students are invited to attend, regardless of whether they attended the Open to Work Lab. This event is designed to assist students in building their careers by helping them create or update their LinkedIn account, get professional headshots, learn how to stand out and more.

Don’t miss your chance for ice cream on a nice spring day! Catch Clover and special guests as they ride around campus from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., Thursday, April 9, to give away 500 cups of Clover Dream ice cream, while supplies last. Check out @untpolice on Instagram for updates and the route.
Just note that Clover Dream ice cream contains chocolate, so it is not appropriate for dogs (Clover is pictured after enjoying a pup cup instead)!

As the end of the semester gets closer, now is the perfect time to attend a career fair. The Geography, Urban Planning and Ecology Career Fair is the place for you if you want a career in these fields! With multiple employers and city officials attending, there are opportunities for everyone. Any student can attend from 1:30 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, in the Environmental Science Building.
