MAGNIFY | Let the Good Times (Keep) Roll(ing)!

Upstate alumni with Alumni Director, Holly Jefferson, and Interim Dean, Gerald Harmon, MD
The first half of our Regional Alumni Happy Hour Tour was a huge success thanks to alumni from the Midlands, Pee Dee and Upstate areas. In these three regions, we hosted around 70 graduates from all six academic programs, providing Interim Dean Harmon and our Advancement team the opportunity to revel over the alumni representation we have across the state.
But we aren't done yet!
The second leg of the tour will begin in January, and we've added two new regions to the lineup. Check out the locations and dates below, and add them to your calendar to join us in one of these cities near you!
Charlotte/Sandhills Region - Tuesday, Jan. 28 in Charlotte, N.C.
Atlanta Region - Tuesday, Feb. 18 in a TBD suburb of Atlanta
Lowcountry Region - Tuesday, May 20 in North Charleston, S.C.
Invitations for these areas will be emailed in the coming weeks and are based on the home mailing address we have on file for you. Click on the button below to update your contact information so you don't miss out!

FOCUS | Thank You to Our Alumni Veterans

As we reflect on this past Veterans Day, we'd like to send a sincere thank you to all our alumni who have served, or are currently serving, in the military. Your bravery, dedication, and sacrifice inspire us every day, and we couldn’t be more proud of your service.
We’re excited to shine a spotlight on a few of our alumni veterans who have made a lasting impact, both in and out of uniform. Their stories remind us that the spirit of service doesn’t end when the uniform comes off – it continues to shape us all. Thank you for your service, and your continued affinity to the USC School of Medicine Columbia.
Alumni veterans featured in this highlight provided photos and completed a Military Service Info Form from our email sent on November 11. If you have served or are currently serving in the military and haven't completed the form, please click on the button below so we can update your alumni profile.

NOTE | A Season of Gratitude

As we prepare for the upcoming holidays, it’s always a time to push pause from the busyness of this life and redirect our hearts towards a posture of gratitude.
Having been blessed seven years as your Alumni Director, I want to extend a sincere “Thank You” to the 5,000+ physicians, health care professionals, scientists, counselors, educators, healers, and leaders that we get to claim as our very own. You remain the living embodiment of our School of Medicine Columbia mission, and each of you are putting your indelible mark on the world of health care and scientific discovery.

This Thanksgiving, words cannot begin to express our appreciation not only for trusting in Paige and me all these years, but most importantly, for your selfless care and passion for helping others. YOU inspire us daily, and we consider it an honor to support you on your career journey.
SOMC alumni family, THANK YOU! We hope you and yours have a blessed holiday season filled with love, gratitude and good health!
