A Career Coach working with a student

   CAREER JUMPSTART

Want to get your career started? UNT has many resources to assist you in your search for internships and jobs. UNT’s Career Center can help you improve your resume, perfect interview skills, take professional headshots and more. The Career Center is located in Sage Hall, and you can drop in during regular business hours, but it's recommended that you book an appointment online with your college's Career Coach.

If you are looking for an internship or on-campus job, look no further than the Handshake job search site. The site allows you to set job preferences — including job position, industry, location or major — to filter jobs recommended for you. Visit the website or download the Handshake app to start your work search today!

   WHAT'S UP, DOC?

After realizing that working in the technology field like most of his family wasn’t for him, Eeshan Joshi decided to become the first doctor in the family. He attended the Texas Academy of Mathematics and Science, finished a bachelor’s degree at UNT, and this spring — at age 23 — became one of the youngest graduates of the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine at UNT Health Fort Worth.

He’s now starting his three-year internal medicine residency at Baylor Scott & White. Read his story in the North Texan alumni magazine.

You also can check out other North Texan content and take a short North Texan survey to help the magazine improve readers' experiences. After completing the survey, enter a drawing for a UNT T-shirt by sending an email to northtexan@unt.edu with “Reader Survey” in the subject line. Don’t forget to include your mailing address (and T-shirt size) to receive your prize if you’re a winner.
