Students flipping their tassels

   YOU DID IT!

Congrats, Eagles, you made it to the end of the spring semester! Whether it was your first one, your last one, or somewhere in between, it’s an accomplishment to be celebrated.

Speaking of celebration, the Class of 2026 begins its commencement ceremonies at 3 p.m. Thursday, May 7, and the final ceremony is at 4 p.m. Monday, May 11. The College of Music ceremonies will take place in the Murchison Performing Arts Center, and all others will be in the UNT Coliseum. Both are enforcing a Clear Bag Policy and metal detectors will be in use. See the full schedule and links to the livestreams.

Please note that traffic on campus will be heavy, especially on the west side. If you’re planning to attend commencement, get some helpful info before you arrive.

   SPRING CLEANING

With the semester coming to a close, it’s time to complete a few housekeeping items before heading into summer.

  • The Spring Move-Out deadline for residence hall students is ›. Friday, May 8. Keep in mind that commencement ceremonies begin at noon that day, so plan accordingly to schedule the best time to move out. Make sure you follow the move-out checklist and properly clean out your room.

  • If you have an Every Day Unlimited, Weekday Unlimited, Eight-a-Week, Five-a-Week or Allergen-Safe Swipes meal plan, those need to be used up by Friday, May 8. Dining Dollars and Simply Swipes carry through the summer and expire Friday, Aug. 7.
  • Take home all of your mobility devices because starting on Tuesday, May 12, UNT Housing and Transportation Services will begin collecting them and transporting them to the West Warehouse for pickup. Check out the Transportation Services website for more information.

   FOOD FOR FINES

Pat yourself on the back, Eagles! So far, there have been 1,890 items donated to the UNT Food Pantry from the Food for Fines program. That's a pretty significant number. You still have until Friday, May 8, to donate non-perishable and shelf stable items to help pay for any citations you might have.
