I hope you had a chance to read President Cowley’s message regarding the University’s closure July 3-4, in observance of the Independence Day holiday. To ensure all employees can embrace this moment of respite, classes on July 3-4 are canceled. Classes scheduled to begin July 3 will now begin their term July 5.
Faculty with scheduled classes that will need to be made up should work directly with their deans and department chairs.
As a reminder from President Cowley’s message, Campus Recreation, UTA Libraries, the University Center and Commons, Dining Services, and Parking and Transportation Services have posted their service hours for the holiday release and the ensuing holiday break. Any additional operations updates will be shared via MavWire.
Thank you all for the work you do to support our institutional mission, in and out of the classroom. I, too, hope this extra day will be an opportunity for us all to reflect on the great work that is happening in Maverick Country.
