We are delighted to announce that our second library location, West, is now open! Located at 21209 State Hwy 71 W, Spicewood, TX 78669, West provides convenient access to library services for the communities of Bee Creek, Briarcliff, Rough Hollow, Spicewood, and Travis Settlement, as well as the Sweetwater and West Cypress Hills developments. With plans to expand hours in the future, West is open:

Monday: 10am - 7pm
Tuesday: 10am - 4pm
Wednesday: 10am - 4pm
Saturday: 10am - 4pm

West is a newly renovated 5,000-square-foot library that features a diverse collection of materials for all ages, including books, audiobooks, magazines, and DVDs.

The space includes public computers with access to printing services, a dedicated children’s area, a quiet study room, a covered patio with cooling fans, and a convenient drive-thru window for reserve pick-up and returns.

Patrons will have access to a notary public, Interlibrary Loans, and our expanded digital collection. In the new year, we plan to host a grand opening and begin offering programs.

West is managed by Assistant Library Director Raj Kamat, who has been with the Lake Travis Community Library for over six years. Raj earned a Master of Science in Information Studies degree from UT and was named a TALL Texan by the Texas Library Association in 2022.

With the opening of West, three distinct library locations will now be displayed in the catalog. When searching for an item, its location, Lakeway, Bus, or West, will be noted under the Available heading. 

When placing a reserve, please review your preferred pickup location, Lakeway, Bookmobile, or West, to make sure the item is delivered to the location that is convenient to you. You may also change your default location by simply logging into your library account, selecting My Account, and navigating to the Notifications tab.
