Join the Office of Sustainability for an Earth Day celebration Monday, April 21, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at Brazos Park. You can expect free T-shirts, giveaways, food trucks, and interactive activities. It will be an opportunity to meet members of sustainability organizations and learn how to get involved. Together, we can create a more sustainable, vibrant, and resilient future.

Get out your favorite denim jeans and join the Relationship Violence & Sexual Assault Prevention (RVSP) program on Wednesday, April 30, to support survivors. We'll join together on the UC Mall for a group photo at 1:15 p.m. You can also sign the Denim Day pledge as a commitment to raising awareness and taking action.

It's officially Grad season and UTA's spring 2025 commencement ceremonies are just around the corner! Please join us at Arlington's Globe Life Field on Friday, May 9, for the Maverick community's happiest day of the year.


Sign up today to help ensure our newest Mav grads' commencement experience is a magical one. We have several opportunities to make an impact. You can set up on load-in day and/or celebrate your favorite Mav grads at any (or all) of our three ceremonies, 9 a.m., 2 p.m., and 7 p.m., on commencement day. You won't want to miss it.

 

 

The Dan Dipert Welcome Center

New employee campus tour 

Join a campus tour for new faculty and staff on Thursday, April 24, at 2 p.m. Guided walking tours last approximately 1.5 hours. To attend, arrive at the Dan Dipert University Welcome Center, 580 South Center Street, five to 10 minutes before the start time, wearing comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and shoes.

National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week

Dispatchers are vital to the UTA Police Department’s ability to serve the University community. Ten dispatchers and one communications supervisor staff UTA’s Police Communications Center around the clock to monitor vital systems and ensure a professional line of communication is consistently available.

 

The UTA Police Communications Center answers and processes approximately 8,000 emergency and non-emergency calls each month. Dispatchers coordinate the response of police and public safety officers, monitor burglar alarms and cameras, and provide valuable information to students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

College of Science students will present research projects at Discover 2025 on Friday, April 18. An in-person poster symposium will be held 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Chemistry & Physics Building. After, the top five undergraduate and graduate students will present their projects in the UTA Planetarium at 1 p.m. for the finalist showcase. An awards ceremony will follow.

Enhanced MavPlanner, MavScheduler, and MavInspire

This spring, enhanced versions of MavPlanner, MavScheduler, and MavInspire will be available at UTA. The enhanced systems will see updated user interfaces and functionality. Leveraging improved technology will put actionable data for engagement and early alerts in the hands of faculty and staff. The tools will also allow staff to effectively assist students with planning a clear path to graduation.

Over 90 steam-based Summer Camps 2025, Kids and Teens University

Kids and Teens University

This summer, UTA’s Kids & Teens University invites campers in grades 1–12 to engage in hands-on adventures designed to spark curiosity and creativity. Campers can erupt volcanoes, build circuits, bake treats, chase storms, experiment with 3D printing, practice leadership, and so much more. With weekly camps throughout June and July, there’s something for every young explorer to enjoy. Learn more about available programs.
