National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week
|
Dispatchers are vital to the UTA Police Department’s ability to serve the University community. Ten dispatchers and one communications supervisor staff UTA’s Police Communications Center around the clock to monitor vital systems and ensure a professional line of communication is consistently available.
The UTA Police Communications Center answers and processes approximately 8,000 emergency and non-emergency calls each month. Dispatchers coordinate the response of police and public safety officers, monitor burglar alarms and cameras, and provide valuable information to students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
