Beginning this week, UTA is kicking off a significant effort that will shape the future of our campus—the UTA Campus Master Plan update. This comprehensive master plan is a pivotal tool that guides the evolution of our physical spaces to align with our strategic goals over the next 10-20 years. From enhancing academic life and the student experience to improving infrastructure and our open spaces, the aim of our Campus Master Plan is for it to be a visionary and implementable blueprint for our collective aspirations.
UTA’s Office of Administration and Economic Development will be leading the effort, through collaboration with an executive committee, steering committee, core committee, and focus groups comprising individuals across our campus and community. They have launched a Campus Master Plan webpage that I encourage you to visit for regular updates. You can also learn more about our timeline and what a master plan is.
As we embark on this journey, your input is invaluable. This plan is about the future of our buildings, classroom, labs, and landscape, as much as it is about creating an environment that fosters accessibility, engagement, and innovation. Your ideas and feedback will play a crucial role in defining the long-term development of our campus.
We have multiple opportunities for you to learn more and provide your feedback to ensure that the Campus Master Plan reflects the varied perspectives and needs of our vibrant community:

These are the first of many opportunities to provide your feedback, and over the coming months we will hold several additional engagement and listening sessions. These sessions will be updated on the Campus Master Plan webpage. Additionally, there will be a Campus Master Plan survey launching soon on the webpage for you to provide your feedback.
I am excited for us to build upon our vibrant and dynamic campus, and, together, build a legacy developed through the power of collaboration and shared vision.
