ME Direct Feed Control Panels Discontinued

TB #:  TB-22-04
Date:  April 14, 2022
Product Lines Affected: ME Series
Overview
Condair’s evaporative media product line is currently available in the following configurations:
  • ME Direct Feed
  • ME Control
  • MC Series
ME Direct Feed
The standard version includes the evaporative module and a hydraulic manifold without valves. The hydraulic manifold must be equipped with both a drain and a supply valve (available as options), and a customer-supplied On/Off control unit.
If stage control is required, the hydraulic manifold can be equipped with optional stage valves (in addition to the drain and supply valve), as well as a purge valve in the water supply line. Stage control unit must be supplied by the customer.
All valves are available as options or must be supplied by the customer.
Additionally, two optional control units - one for On/Off control and one for stage control are available.
ME Control
Complete system with software configurable control unit with display, capable of both On/Off and stage control. Hydraulic module(s) with pumps can be mounted internally or externally to the AHU/duct.
MC Series
Complete system with control unit capable of both On/Off and Stage control. Hydraulic module with pumps is mounted internally to the AHU/duct.
The ME Direct Feed control units (highlighted) will be discontinued as of April 11th, 2022, due to low sales interest and increased water efficiency of the remaining models. The ME Control, MC, and standard version of the ME Direct Feed (including optional valve kits) continue to be available.

The ME Control and MC system recirculate water throughout the system using pumps in the evaporative module, periodically draining to reduce mineral build-up. The ME Direct feed is a flow-through system where water is drained after flowing down the evaporative cassettes.

In addition to the benefit of water efficiency, the MC Series also offers increased cost-effectiveness thanks to its optimized design. Engineered to minimize the amount of material required, a single unit can deliver up to 793 lbs/hr of humidification and approximately 245kW/h of adiabatic cooling, operating on less than 0.15kW of electrical energy.
