Join Us for our Inaugural Digital Learning Book Club! 

Digital Learning and UT Libraries invite UT staff and faculty to join the inaugural Digital Learning Book Club in Spring 2024. This blended online community focuses on digital learning topics such as inclusive pedagogy, online equity, and community & care. Using both synchronous (Zoom) and asynchronous (InScribe) formats, participants will explore themes from the open-access book "Critical Digital Pedagogy," applying insights to current online education trends. The book club offers flexible engagement levels (attend and participate as you can), with no prior experience needed. Meetings are scheduled from February to May, about once a month on select Thursdays, from 12:00 to 1:00 pm EST.    ‎‏‏

Introduction to Online Teaching Seminar for Graduate Students 

Digital Learning and Teaching and Learning Innovation (TLI) are pleased to offer the Introduction to Online Teaching Seminar for Graduate Students and Postdocs in Spring 2024. This professional development experience introduces students to the foundations of online course design and development. It is a six-week hybrid course with four synchronous workshops in Zoom that will be offered from January 31 to March 8, 2024. Please forward this email to any graduate students that may benefit from this seminar experience.

Sign Up for the Spring 2024 Jumpstart Cohort

Do you need to build or redesign a fully online course? We are accepting applications to join our Spring 2024 cohort for Online Jumpstart. In your cohort, the course development team will guide your efforts, providing instructional design support grounded in research, including professional video, multimedia, and any training you need. 

The Spring 2024 cohort will kick off the week of February 5 and run for 12 weeks (not including spring break), wrapping up by the end of the Spring semester on May 7. The deadline to apply is Friday, January 26.

Virtual Brown Bag Fridays Schedule

Join UT instructional faculty as they share strategies and recommendations for successful teaching, learning, and assessment online. This semester, in addition to hearing from UT instructional faculty, we will also have presentations from faculty and administrators from the University of Wyoming, the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and Fort Hays State University, broadening our perspectives on effective practices in online teaching and learning.
