Honored Guests Visit Duke Gardens' Asiatic Arboretum
Duke University and Duke Gardens were visited by several esteemed guests last week, including Yuko Kishida, the wife of Japan's Prime Minister, First Lady of North Carolina Kristin Cooper, and Mio (Yamamoto) Maeda, spouse of the consul general of Japan in Atlanta. The trio were among a group who toured the gardens and took part in a traditional Japanese tea gathering in the Gardens. The tour was part of a larger visit to North Carolina by Prime Minister Fumio and Yuko Kishida.
