At NJCU, Commencement provides our students an opportunity to celebrate their academic achievements with family, friends, faculty, alumni, and the entire University community.

This year, we will have a new venue to honor our graduates — Red Bull Arena in Harrison, N.J. — where we will gather for the first time on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 to celebrate the Class of 2024! Guests do not need tickets to attend.

The 2024 Gothics—the annual NJCU athletics award banquet—will be hosted on Monday, May 13, 2024. It will take place in two locations. The doors open at the Margaret Williams Theatre at 5 p.m., with the awards ceremony beginning at 5:30 p.m. Following the show, an after party for students athletes only will be hosted in the Gilligan Student Union Multipurpose Room.

The NJCU Department of Psychology is seeking non-U.S. born Hispanic immigrant parents raising a child aged 5-10 to volunteer in an online parental survey of 20-30 minutes. Responses are anonymous and will help the investigators understand challenges faced by migrant families in the U.S. Results will be disseminated for peer-review and used for intervention and training programs.
