Hawk Flies: Riverbend KTHK/Idaho Falls flipped from Country (105.5 The Hawk) to Sports Talk as "The Goat 105" yesterday (10/1). GM Kevin O'Rorke told the East Idaho News the change was due to an oversaturated market with “too many Country stations for our population," adding, "We just felt it was a better opportunity from a listening and advertising standpoint to be the big dog in a less crowded space." No word on affected staff. |

Bull Market: Rufus Resources has surrendered the broadcast licenses for its nine South Texas stations, including Classic Country KCAF/Kenedy, which moves online, still positioned as "No Bull Radio." A Facebook post says, "The move closes the terrestrial broadcasting chapter for the Rufus Resources stations, but does not mark the end of No Bull Radio ... The transition to online broadcasting gives [us] an opportunity to continue that tradition without the geographic limitations of an FM or AM signal." Listen here.
