Sports Physicals:

The ONLY free physicals this spring will be on May 23 from 3:30-6:30 at EVHS.You must have a physical and insurance on file before starting practice in any BMHS sport next year. Get it done this spring!

Baseball

Baseball finished up their regular season with 2 great wins over Aspen on Tuesday. They finished the season 12-11, and were ranked 36th in 4A Baseball. 12 wins on the season ties the team's record for most wins in a regular season!  Only 32 teams get to travel to the playoffs; the team have officially completed their season this year. Congrats to them on a great year!

Boys Lacrosse

Boys Lacrosse finished the regular season at 7-7 and were ranked 11th in the state this year. The team won their first round game vs Durango at home. They went on and ended their season in round 2 of the playoffs, losing to Golden 10-6 in a well fought game. Congrats to Pat Dohert, his staff, and the team on a great season!

Girls Golf

The Girls Golf team competed in Regionals at Gypsum Creek on Tuesday. Congrats to Makena Thayer, Caleigh Kackman, and Abby Harrison for a great showing! Makena took 2nd place at the event, shooting an 84 on a very windy day. She was our only golfer to qualify for states. Congratulations to the team on all of their success this season!

Makena will be competing in the 3A State Girls Golf Championships in Greely on Monday and Tuesday. GOOD LUCK!

Girls Lacrosse

The Girls Lacrosse team lost in a heartbreaker in the semi-finals on Wednesday to Green Mountain. They played nearly half of the game with a player down but did not quit. They brought it within a 1 goal difference in the 4th, and came up just short with a final score of 12-9. Congrats to the team on making it that far. To my knowledge, this is the farthest the team has EVER gone. Congrats to Coach Bally, his staff, and the team on all of their success this year.

*Come out to the BMHS field on Wednesday, 5/21 from 4pm-6pm to watch the annual end of season Boys Lacrosse vs Girls Lacrosse Game! (Boys have to use girls sticks. The girls won it last year, and are looking to defend their title!)

Girls Soccer

Girls Soccer went 7-6-3 this season, and finished out ranked 29th in the state. They lost to # 3 seeded Lutheran in the first round of the playoffs this year in a tough game. Congrats to the team, our new Coach Lauren Lux, and her staff on a great first season!

Track & Field

States started yesterday, and will continue today and tomorrow. Lilly Beaumont raced to a 14th place finish in a loaded 4A 100 meter field. Jakob Methvin was next on the docket, competing in the 400. He came in ranked 13th and finished 10th overall and missed the finals by 2/100 of a second. Our final competitor on the day was the dominant force, Tyler Heimerl. She was the lone athlete to stand atop the podium at the state meet with an impressive finish of 9th in the long jump. She has another opportunity today to get back on that podium in the high jump. Jakob will compete again on Satuday. Great job team, and good luck to Jakob and Tyler in their final events today and tomorrow! More updates to come on them.
