Did you know the Harry Potter series features magic based partially on Renaissance traditions that played a role in the development of Western science? The National Library of Medicine's traveling exhibition Renaissance Science, Magic, and Medicine in Harry Potter's World will be on display on the second floor of the Health Sciences Library from October 23 – December 2. Stop by to discover how the potions, monsters, herbology, magical creatures, and immortality of the wizarding world are rooted in real-life alchemy, astrology, natural philosophy, and more!

The HEI Lions Club is holding a pickleball tournament fundraiser Saturday, October 28, starting at 9:00 am, at the UTHSC Tennis Courts! The mixed doubles tournament is open to all. Registration is $50 per team or $40 for teams of UTHSC students.

Join UTHSC Campus Recreation for a group hike Saturday, October 28. Meet at Meeman-Shelby Forest State Park at 9:45 am. The approximately three-mile hike will last about two hours. Check out Campus Rec’s equipment rentals if you’re in need of gear.
