There is still time for Girl Scouts to reach their Snacks & Magazines goals. We are super-pumped to announce the opportunity to earn a bonus reward: an exclusive vinyl sticker pack featuring our mascot Olive the Ocelot. Olive wants to cheer you on to reach your Fall goals and get you pumped up for the upcoming cookie season! Plus, there’s an opportunity to win bonus prizes!  

To earn the sticker pack as a NEW participant (for those who didn’t participate in the program last year), you simply need to log into M2OS between now and October 22, create your avatar, and sell $35 in snacks and/or magazines.  

To earn this patch as a RETURNING participant (those who participated in the program last year), you need to increase your total sales by $35 over last year. 

But wait, there’s more! Girl Scouts who earn the sticker pack are eligible to be randomly selected to win one of our bonus prizes: Beanie caps featuring our cookie mascot, Bubbles the axolotl. We’ll announce the winners in late October, no substitutions, or exchanges. 

At the end of the sale, we will run all the numbers and reports to determine the Girl Scouts that earned the item. Not sure what your sales were last year? Troop leaders can find this in their dashboard by clicking on TP in the top right corner>change season>reports>all sales. Or give us a call and we can help!

And there is even more! All troops that participate in Snacks & Magazines will get early access to purchase tickets for our Girl Scout Day at the Minnesota Wild hockey game on January 15. Attendees will receive an exclusive patch plus the opportunity for an on-ice photo after the game.

Sunday, October 22, is the last day for snack order card sales. Reach out to participating families to remind them of this important date. 

It’s not too late for girls to get started in the sale. Even with just 10 days left to go, girls can still create their online account, send emails to friends & family, and take orders with their snack order card.  

Before the last day of the sale, connect with your Girl Scouts and families to remind them to enter the snack order card sales or determine you will be doing this for them. See the schedule below on the deadlines for users to enter snack orders into M2OS. 

Note: users are locked out of entering orders once their deadline has passed. If you are entering the snack order card for families, ask that they email or text you a picture of the girl’s snack order card. It’s a great backup in case the order card gets misplaced between now and when the snacks arrive in November. 

No late orders can be accepted after the service unit order entry deadline has passed. Note: Ordering for online snacks and magazines will end on October 29 at 11:59 p.m. This will give customers one final chance to complete their online orders, troops the opportunity to earn additional proceeds, and girls to receive credit towards their rewards. Nothing needs to be submitted for online snack or magazine orders. These orders are already credited to the Girl Scout and the troop at the time of purchase.  

Important update: If a Girl Scout is not listed in M2OS after 10/22, you must contact River Valleys to have her added to the system. Once added, you will be able to add her in-person snack order. 

Review our M2OS Quick Tips Guide for Troops for help entering snack order card sales and/or girl rewards. If families are entering these sales, share the M2OS Quick Tips Guide for Families with them as a handy-dandy resource. 

Families and troops can make reward choices until October 29 at 11:59 p.m. This deadline only applies to girls that reach a sales level where there is a choice between an item and Fall FUNds. After October 29, if a selection is not made, the girl will be defaulted to Fall FUNds.  

Reminder: Service Unit volunteers cannot make reward choices for girls. 

When entering the snack order card sales, girl rewards will not automatically update. These entries are updated every hour on the hour, so you may have to enter the snack order card sales and then return later to enter the reward selections. Don’t worry, M2OS will also send a helpful reminder to families to make a choice, if needed. 

Girl Scouts who select Fall FUNds for their Snacks & Magazines rewards will receive a Fall FUNDs card in the mail after the Snacks & Magazines program has ended. This card can be used for all redemption options included on our Snacks & Magazines Rewards webpage. If a Juliette received a Juliette Program Credits card from the 2023 Cookie Program, the Juliette Program Credits will be added to your existing card and you will receive an email with that information when available. New Juliettes will receive the Juliette Program Credit card in the mail. 

The Start Paws-itive bonus reward ended on October 2nd. A huge shoutout to all Girl Scouts who made their avatars and sent out 17 emails in the first week of the sale! We’ll be sending the Start Paws-itive mini patch right to their homes later this fall.  

ALSO, all Girl Scouts that earned this reward have been entered into a drawing for the grand prize: our XXL Olive the Ocelot plush! We’re excited for Olive to go to a new home that we are paws-itive she will love.

As you are busy wrapping up the sale, don’t forget to verify your troop bank account information is correct in M2OS. The bank account is required for Girl Scouts River Valleys to process the ACH withdrawal in December. Or, if your troop is owed proceeds due to a high-volume of online payments, we need the bank account information to transfer the proceeds to your troop. To verify the bank account information, go to Banking & Payments on your M2OS dashboard. This page will show a snapshot of your troop’s financial activity. Click anywhere on the row showing your troop’s payments, which will open a new page. From that page, click on the Manage ACH button and follow the prompts to edit the information if needed. Please complete this action by October 30. 

As expected, your Girl Scouts’ customers have gone above and beyond. Our first production run of Bark Box have sold out, but never fear! Our friends at Bark Box have begun a second production run which is estimated to ship in February. Before customers complete check out, they will get a notification of this delayed shipment. Customers who order a Bark Box between now and the end of the sale will also receive monthly emails notifying them of their shipment’s status. 

Now is a great time to reach out to your troops to see if they need any assistance during their sale. Remind them of the order entry timeline and to communicate with families about how their snack order card sales should be entered (by the troop or the families). Send a quick email, text, or post on your service unit Facebook page or in Rallyhood. 

Is this month moving quickly or what? Before you know it, it will be time for snack deliveries to arrive (November 14-17). Watch for an email from us with your snack delivery timeframe the week before your delivery day. This email will also include important steps to follow to ensure a smooth delivery experience. 

Don’t forget to enter and verify the delivery location for the Service Unit’s snack order in M2OS by October 22. While you’re at it, enter the shipping address for the girl reward shipment at the same time.
