We're pleased to announce the 2025-2026 Hesburgh Award Teaching Fellows: Colin Harrison, Kendall Nelson, Kim Paige, Mary Peek, Melissa Foulger, Pardis Pishdad, and Zachary Handlos (left to right in the photos above). "I'm looking forward to working with these faculty as we embark on their respective discipline-based education research projects," said CTL's Amanda Nolen, who leads the Hesburgh Fellows. The Hesburgh program supports mid and senior-career faculty as they interrogate issues related to teaching and learning.

We'll introduce practical instructional strategies across three areas - communication, feedback, and assessment - that help shift students’ perceptions of failure from threat to opportunity.

Join the College of Lifetime Learning's Learning Systems team as they showcase H5P, a user-friendly web tool that empowers instructors to create interactive experiences. With H5P, instructors can easily create and publish more than 50 content types including games, quizzes, and interactive videos directly from a Canvas course. Join via Zoom.

Data Skills Workshop: Integration of AI and ML Into Courses |

Led by Todd Fernandez and Laura Christian, this workshop will share a framework for creating artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) activities in engineering courses. The framework centers student engagement with AI/ML tools to enhance course content. Participants will gain access to the expanding repository of AI/ML activities from the Biomedical Engineering department. While the workshop uses engineering examples, it is open to all.
