"Get ready for family camp family challenge." 

Well, that is wrap on summer camp. We still have family camp and fishing camp this fall. We want to thank all of the Event Coordinators, Faculty and Staff for a great camp season. We had some weeks max out and others we had plenty of room. But the preaching, worship, teaching and activities were all fantastic. We served 2,416 campers this year and over 400 volunteers. 

As we head into the fall, we have a couple of big projects that will be happening Waste Treatment Plant Upgrades and demolishing the old shops and building the new shop.  Be looking out on our Facebook page for updates about the projects happening at Hanging Rock. Thanks for your partnership. 

Camp officially wraps up today, and I am in complete awe of what the Lord has done this summer. We celebrated 62 baptisms, and it has been incredible to watch so many campers make the decision to follow Christ.

Our summer theme, "Plugged In: Connecting to the True Power Source," was based on Romans 1:16 and encouraged campers to stay connected to Jesus in a world that constantly tries to pull them toward other "power sources."

There are two sections to our Lilly Endowment Grant:

The first section was a grant of 1.5 million. 

- The New Cabin - Finished

- The Larger parking lot and the new exit - We still have a few things to add to this project. 

- Water at Wilderness Camp - Finished

- The Shop - We are working on demolishing the old shops and the site plan for the new shop. 

- The Waste Treatment Plant - We have signed a contract. The work will start this fall. 

-  Generators - We are in the process of getting bids for these and hope to have these done by the end of the year. 

Hanging Rock has been blessed with a $1 million matching gift opportunity. Every dollar donated toward this campaign will be matched, allowing supporters to double the impact of their generosity.

Matching these funds will allow Hanging Rock to complete several transformational projects that will directly enhance the guest experience and expand ministry opportunities, including:

Kitchen Remodel - Funded 

New bunk beds for camper housing - Funded

Maintenance Upgrades - $100,000 match - We are on the 3rd part of this million-dollar match. We would love to get this funded by the end of this year. 

Swimming pool improvements, including a modern filtration system, expanded bathhouse, and new waterslide

Construction of three new cabins accommodating 18 guests each 

A new administrative office

A dedicated first aid and health services facility

Land- We are hoping to purchase 22 acres of land across from the main camp. This would allow us to own the land our wells are on.
