Many of you know Dean Pullin and his inspired work at the Neeley School, building a collaborative team and leading them to be a top-ranked business school in the world. Most importantly, he has been a champion of our Horned Frog students, the faculty and staff who deliver our unmatched student experience and the academic reputation of Neeley and TCU.
It is a testament to the work of the Advisory Committee, as well as TCU’s national and international reputation, to have had such a talented slate of candidates express interest in this prestigious position. After this thorough national search, the committee was most impressed with Dean Pullin’s expansive vision for TCU as well as his experience in strategic operational leadership that a University as complex and dynamic as ours demands. Community feedback was key in helping us solidify our vision for this role. I am exceedingly proud that we had the talent right here at TCU, ready to serve our community with even greater impact.
President Pullin will work closely with me and the Cabinet to help usher in a new era for TCU, under the exciting spotlight of TCU’s Sesquicentennial year. This includes maintaining the level of excellence for which our community is known, especially our culture of belonging, academic impact and engagement. We share this focus on investing in our people and our community.
We are extremely pleased to welcome our TCU President, and are grateful to his accomplished wife, Tamara, and their two sons Parker and Halsey, for sharing his talent and passion with us. I wanted to send this news before we leave for a well-deserved break, but you can expect to learn more about Daniel leading into his official start date as President on February 1, 2023. In the meantime, I am establishing a TCU Presidential Transition Team to provide advice and counsel to President Pullin. In addition, this team will help plan and prepare for the Investiture of the TCU President to take place in early fall 2023. Dr. Kathy Cavins-Tull has agreed to chair this important group.
This is an exciting moment for TCU to shine on the national stage and share our culture of academic impact and ethical leadership, of which you are all leaders. Have a wonderful holiday and thank you for all you mean to the TCU community!
Sincerely,
Victor J. Boschini, Jr.
Chancellor
