GCOOS is accepting applications for the 2026 Matt Howard Fellowship which offers college students (undergraduate or graduate) the opportunity to attend a professional conference and to learn from GCOOS staff and partners about career options related to ocean science and data management. inspire the next generation of explorers by expanding access and understanding of the spectacular night skies that shine on rural America. STARS will provide rural schools across America with a state-of-the-art telescope, ongoing teacher training, and learning pathways. Scientists from the SAO will travel to work with schools, sharing their knowledge and passion for cosmic discovery.
