 Letter Regarding Immigration Concerns

The Wellspring Mercy and Justice Team members are very concerned about our neighbors who are part of the immigrant community and are fearful of new measures to deport undocumented residents and otherwise marginalize their families. We believe this is a time where we are called to act on their behalf, and one action we are proposing is to engage with local law enforcement to minimize unnecessary actions that may harm these neighbors.

We have prepared a letter to this effect, quoting the portion of our United Methodist Social Principles which addresses Migrants, Immigrants and Refugees. We encourage all Wellspring members who are willing to sign this document, which we intend to submit in the coming week to Georgetown Police Chief Cory Tchida and Williamson County Sheriff Matthew Lindemann. In addition to signing the letter, we invite you to be in prayer for our immigrant neighbors, and to seek ways we can continue sharing God's love with our community.

Read the letter and add your name in support: https://forms.gle/5FjeKZJRvyawZGps5
