Eagle Scout Project Complete
St. Luke’s Farm has a new 5-part composting system thanks to Bobby Schneeberger, who earned his Eagle Scout rank for this project.
Bobby led a group of volunteers from Troop 24 to install this 22-foot system after months of meetings, creating plans and raising funds to build the system.
St. Luke’s Farm is a pilot program for the Grow It Forward network which added four new farms in the Pine Hills and Winter Garden communities.
The mission of the network is to work in food priority areas starting community-run farms on the land at churches and area businesses.
This initiative is spearheaded by Grow Orlando with the mission to advance economic and food sovereignty through a self-sustaining micro-farm network and eradicate food disparity in low wealth and under-resourced communities.
