Refer a Student to the ACES Program

Achieving Collegiate Excellence and Success (ACES) is a collaborative program among Montgomery County Public Schools, Montgomery College, and the Universities at Shady Grove that provides students with a seamless and supportive pathway to college completion.
A virtual information session will be happening on Tuesday, January 19, 2021, 3:30 p.m - 4:30 p.m. To learn more about the program and how to refer eligible students, please click here to register for the event.

Become a Montgomery College Conversation Partner

Montgomery College virtual conversation partners will support Montgomery College English as a Second Language (ESL) students by speaking up to one hour per week. This conversation is especially helpful to ESL students during the COVID-19 outbreak as there are limited opportunities for practicing English in the community. If you are an MC student and interested in volunteering, please click here to register!

Opportunities in Workforce Development and Continuing Education (in Spanish)

Cindy Montoya Marroquin shared how easy it is to apply to Workforce Development and Continuing Education (WDCE) classes. As a customer service representative at Montgomery College's WDCE, she assists new students and community members.

What is Raptor Central? (in Spanish)

Join Juan Serrano in this Spanish language interview on Mi Escuela es Su Escuela as he shared with us his journey to study English at Montgomery College. Much to his surprise, his studies presented the opportunity of employment too. As an enrollment and student access specialist at Montgomery College's Raptor Central, he assists new students and community members.

Community Engagement Student Highlight

The Office of Community Engagement had the opportunity to collaborate with students from the Mi Gente learning community for new business majors who want to gain professional experience, increase workplace software skills, and impact their community. Four students completed their 20-hour service-learning projects by volunteering to help with various services that we offer. | Read More
