“Ketchup” With a Wienermobile
Have you ever seen an Oscar Mayer Wienermobile driving down the road? Six of these 27-foot-long hot dogs on wheels tour the U.S. year-round, piloted by drivers known as “Hotdoggers.” The vehicles include mustard- and ketchup-colored seats, a hot-dog-shaped dashboard, a “bun roof,” and an official Wiener Jingle horn. Spring Break Travels
In many locations, April means milder temperatures, blooming beauty, and seasonal events perfect for an RV journey. KOA suggests 20 spring camping destinations around the United States at this time of year. They include Washington, D.C., known for its Cherry Blossom Festival; California’s Joshua Tree National Park, where hundreds of plant species come to life in a desert landscape; and Savannah, Georgia, known for Colonial charm and scrumptious restaurants.

New Free Campsite App
Many apps that search out available camping spots lock some of the info behind paywalls. A new app called Campsite does all the searching for free. Use it to locate sites in established campgrounds, remote wild camping areas, RV parks, and more. Bureau of Land Management and U.S. Forest Service camping spots are included, along with other free and paid camping facilities. The app provides access to 35,000-plus spots across the U.S. and Canada. Features include custom map layers, powerful search filters, and offline access. It's available for both iOS and Android devices.

A Breakfast Treat to Enjoy Anytime
Imagine this morning campground scene: Birds are singing, the sun is rising, and delicious aromas are wafting from the RV galley or grill. It’s time for breakfast. Our advice to you: Don’t forget the coffee cake!
Whether part of a meal or a solo treat enjoyed with coffee or tea, coffee cake makes a tasty comfort food. Despite the name, it doesn’t contain coffee at all, at least in the U.S. Recipes vary, but most folks are familiar with a rich yellow cake spiced with cinnamon and topped with crumbly streusel. Variations feature sour cream, blueberries, raspberries, and cream cheese, among other ingredients. And it’s great for a potluck breakfast.
This tasty batch of recipes from Country Living may inspire you. And whether you make a coffee cake yourself or (shhhh) pick one up at the grocery store, don’t forget to share it with your fellow campers!
