High school students interested in nursing and healthcare careers explored essential nursing skills and gained a deeper understanding of patient care, professional expectations, and career pathways at the Future Nurses Program hosted by the Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University (FranU) and Louisiana HOSA.

Applications are now being accepted for the Quality Science and Math (QSM) Grant Program. QSM awards up to $2,000 to Louisiana PK-12 public school teachers for non-consumable materials and equipment for standards-based and high-quality mathematics, science, and STEM instruction.

The Workforce Pell grant makes high-quality, short-term job training more affordable than ever for Louisiana residents. It now extends the federal Pell Grant to short-term workforce programs. The Rockefeller State Wildlife Scholarship is a competitive scholarship that awards $2,000 annually for an undergraduate student and $3,000 annually to a graduate student pursuing a degree in forestry, wildlife, or marine science at a Louisiana Public College or University. The cumulative maximum award is $12,000 for up to three years of undergraduate study and two years of graduate study. The deadline to apply is August 31.
