               Digital Accessibility Training Series

 
Distance Education is holding a four-part virtual training series on the basics of digital accessibility. Learn about the new ADA technical requirements taking effect on April 24, 2026, and explore practical strategies for making your digital course materials more accessible in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and D2L. The trainings will be held on Zoom from 11:15-12:00 on October 10, 17, 24, and 31.

                                Quality Matters 

 
Celebrating Excellence in Course Design! We are proud to announce the following faculty have been awarded the prestigious Quality Matters (QM) Certification. Frank Ferdik CRJ 4300 and Hamid Noghanibehambar BUS 2100. This acknowledgment highlights their commitment to high-quality course design and improving the learning experience for students.  The courses are now officially listed in the QM directory of certified courses. Congratulations on this outstanding achievement!
 

AOQF 

 
Interested in becoming an AOQF Peer Reviewer? For completing three accurate and timely AOQF course reviews, earn $500 in travel funds, professional development funds, and extra compensation. To be eligible, you must have completed APPQMR, taught an online class in the last year, and completed the AOQF Peer Reviewer Workshop in D2L. Submit your application to become a peer reviewer today!
 

                   Fall 2025 AOQF Updates

Check out our updates to AOQF! Based on faculty feedback and updates to federal regulations, we have made the following updates to the Austin Peay Online Quality Fundamentals (AOQF): (1) Fundamental Five has been revised to reflect the federal regulation changes coming into effect in Spring 2026, (2) The AOQF Guidebook has a new look, functioning as a job aid and reflecting the updates to the fundamentals and course review process, and (3) A course review checklist was created to support peer and self-reviews to ensure that all criteria for each fundamental is considered.                    AOQF Course Submission Dates

If you plan on submitting a course to be peer reviewed through the AOQF program, please follow these Course Review Submission Dates: Full Fall - October 6th, and Fall B - November 3rd. Please check out our AOQF webpage for more information, including how to become a peer reviewer.
 

D2L

 
All active courses from 2011-2015 will be purged from D2L beginning October 2025. To save data, export course packages or copy to sandboxes. Please contact the DE Support Desk if you need assistance or have any questions
 

          Instructional Technology Tool Updates

 

     YuJa Media 

Following our previous announcement about corrupted media files, we’re happy to report that the YuJa Bulk Download issue has been resolved and the feature is now re-enabled. YuJa, like other vendor platforms, may face disruptions. Consider the following Always check that your downloaded media files play correctly, regardless of how they were downloaded. YuJa sends bulk downloads via email. Try downloading fewer files at a time and check your junk/spam folder if you do not see the email initially.

APSU’s Tutor.com is dedicated to helping your students succeed by providing free online access to friendly subject matter experts. Students can also find resources on time management, study skills, and technology in the ‘Student Success’ section. Additionally, there are test prep and self-study resources for major exams like the GRE, GMAT, LSAT, MCAT, and NCLEX.

You can access all the analytics for students who use tutoring for your course. To use the service, simply go to your course in D2L, click on ‘Support,’ and select ‘Tutor.com 24/7.’ Make the most of this valuable resource and encourage your students to do the same!
