Being Prepared for an Emergency is as Easy as 1-2-3...

After an emergency, you may need to survive on your own for several days. National Preparedness Month raises awareness about the importance of preparing for disasters and emergencies that can happen at any time.

This year's theme "Take Control in 1,2,3" encourages everyone to become more prepared in three simple steps:

  1. Assess your needs.
  2. Make a plan.
  3. Engage your support network.

Poverty Simulations

CAPND conducts poverty simulations to large groups for educational purposes. The poverty simulation experience is designed to help participants begin to understand what it might be like to live in a typical low-income family trying to survive from month-to-month. It is a simulation, not a game. The object is to sensitize participants to the realities faced by low-income people.

Learn more about our Poverty Simulations here.

If you are interested in scheduling a simulation experience or would like a quote, please email us at info@capnd.org
