Electronic W-2s in Workday

Electronic W-2s are now available for all employees in Workday! This year all employees will also receive a paper copy in the mail. If you have not done so already, please submit your election to only receive electronic copies of your W-2 in the future. Note: Employees with a terminated status in Workday will receive a paper W-2 in the mail. 

Here’s how:  

1. In the Search Bar, type My Tax Documents.

2. Click on the My Tax Documents report that appears in the search results. 

3. Click on the Edit button under Printing Election.  

4. Under New Election select Receive Electronic Copy of My Year End Tax Documents.

5. Click OK.

6. Click Done.

Phase II Town Hall Recording  

The Phase II Town Hall provided the community with an overview of what they can expect in the current phase of the Workday project. The session covered upcoming changes, timelines and key priorities, along with how communications, training and change management efforts will continue to support campus readiness. Attendees also shared questions and feedback to help inform ongoing planning.

Student Employment Roundtable  

Are you involved in hiring student employees? We want to hear from you! 
 
This interactive roundtable is designed to spark open conversation about the challenges and opportunities you’re seeing in student employment. Together, we’ll gather insights, discuss what’s working (and what isn’t), and identify actionable steps we can take to improve the overall experience for both supervisors and students. 
 
Come ready to chat, share your perspective, and help shape meaningful improvements. 

Join the meeting in Microsoft Teams beginning at 2pm on 2/4.   

 

Travel Office Hours 

The Workday Travel & Expenses Office Hours are designed to provide employees with direct support and guidance on navigating the new Workday system for travel-related tasks. These sessions are part of a broader training and support strategy that includes job aids, in-person sessions, and microlearning videos. 

  • February 3 – 10am-11am

Update on Phase II 

Workday Learning – Spring 2026 

Workday Learning helps organizations deliver, manage, and track employee training in one place. It supports onboarding, compliance training, skill development, and continuous learning through courses, videos, and learning paths, with personalized recommendations for employees. 

Workday Advanced Compensation – Spring 2026 

Workday Advanced Compensation helps organizations design, manage, and administer complex compensation programs. It supports salary increases, bonuses, equity awards, and pay-for-performance planning while ensuring consistency, fairness, and budget control. This functionality will be primarily leveraged within the UHR team at William & Mary. 

Workday Adaptive Planning - 2027 

Workday Adaptive Planning enables organizations to plan, budget, forecast, and analyze business performance. It helps finance and business teams model different scenarios, track actuals versus plans, and make faster, data-driven decisions. This functionality will be primarily leveraged within the budget office at William & Mary. 

Workday Talent & Performance - 2027 

Workday Talent & Performance supports employee development by managing goals, performance reviews, feedback, and career planning. It helps align individual performance with business objectives and provides insights to identify and develop future leaders.
