The Director's Corner

Teacher Appreciation Week recognizes teachers and out-of-school time professionals who serve as teachers too.  On behalf of the youth we serve, we offer our gratitude to you for the support that you give our students each and every time they come to your classroom or the afterschool programs.

Not only are you the support that they need when they are away from home, but many of you also serve as mentors, friends, or even confidantes to many of our students.  The time that you take with each student shows in the grades that they make or the increased engagement in extra-curricular activities or the positive choices that they make in their lives.

Even though you are not paid what you are worth, please know that you are appreciated in so many ways on so many levels.  We may not tell you often but please know that what you are doing the life of the child you encounter is making a difference.

Hats off to our teachers and out-of-school-time professionals during Teacher Appreciation Week!

Little Rock Lightning Recap

The recent Little Rock Lightning basketball game was a huge success thanks to the support of Brandon House's parents, students, and supporters.  Brandon House partnered with Little Rock Lightning on Saturday, April 29 to host a parent engagement event.  We want to give a big shout-out to Brandon House's Creative Expressions Dance Team for making the event even more special.  The students who participate in Creative Expressions not only looked absolutely beautiful, but they were a fantastic representation of the Brandon House brand.  Thanks to Brandon House's team for offering parent information to parents about Brandon House contracted and grant-funded programs.  This parent engagement event was funded in part by the city of Little Rock, Department of Community Programs in support of Brandon House's DreamStarters and Fall In Programs.

Creative Expression

Brandon House's Creative Expression Majorette Dance Team achieved a clean sweep at the We Unite Dance Jamboree on May 6, 2023, earning first place in all categories including Walk Through, Field Show, and Stand in the Stands. Congratulations on a remarkable performance!
Creative Expression is on a mission to raise money for new jackets and uniforms. With your help, we can make sure every dancer has what they need to finish out the season in style. Join us in our fundraiser by donating just $1 or reaching out to one of our dancers to contribute. Your support will make a huge difference and we thank you in advance for your generosity. Let's make this season a success together!
