Three special legislative elections - two tomorrow and one on December 16 - are scheduled this month.

Tomorrow, voters in the Athens area (Clarke and Oconee counties) will vote to fill the vacancy in House District 121 created when incumbent Marcus Wiedower resigned his position.  The Georgia Association of Educators (GAE) and the Clarke County Association of Educators have endorsed Eric Gisler in the race.  Polls are open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.  Gisler's education platform can be found at: https://www.ericgisler.com/issues/education

Also tomorrow, in Cherokee County, voters will vote for a new member of the state House of Representatives.  Incumbent Mandi Ballinger passed away in October of cancer.  She was 50 years old.

The Cherokee Education Association and GAE have endorsed Scott Sanders for the seat.  For more Sanders background and policy positions, visit his web site: https://www.sandersforga.com/.  Polls in Cherokee are also open from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.

Finally on December 16, former State Rep. Roger Bruce and pediatric dentist Jaha Howard face off in a runoff for Senate District 35 (parts of Cobb and Fulton) to fill the seat of former State Sen. Jason Esteves, who resigned to focus on his campaign for Governor.  GAE has endorsed Bruce for the seat.  More information on Bruce can be found at his web site: https://www.rogerbruce.net/you

Advance voting begins today and continues through Friday, December 12.
