Feelings of abundance
Feelings of abundance

I searched for my Self
until I grew weary,
but no one, I know now,
reaches the hidden knowledge
by means of effort.
Then, absorbed in "Thou art This,"
I found the place of Wine.
There all the jars are filled,
but no one is left to drink.

Our group has just returned home after a fabuous trip to Kerala. Following on from a four day South India tour we had an immersive retreat with daily Ayurveda treatments, therapeutic Yoga,
sharing circles and much more. Bookings are open for next years trip which includes one week in North India exploring the sacred cities of Varanasi and Calcutta and one week in Kerala nurturing and resting in the lap of Ayurveda. All info for India 2025 is HERE

In early 2025 I will be launching an ONLINE
membership platform via Patreon with a weekly practice or study session. This will be available on an app or online.
The cost will be £13 per month. More info coming soon.
It's important to take time out for ourselves and step away from the busyness of life for a while. I know that this can be difficult depending on work, family and the many other demands on our time. This is why I offer a variety of options, from half a day, to a weekend reteat all the way up to a two week India trip.

In 2025 I'm launching more online sessions as well as an online subscription platform, so I hope that this makes things feel more accessible and that you can join me. Here's some of what's coming up -

Cleansing

Cleansing is an integral  part of the Ayurveda approach. Throughout our life we experience different living situations, foods, climates and stressful experiences. All of these things cause a build up of toxins, known as ama, in the body and mind. This ama accumulates in the body tissues and will eventually trigger disease. By cleansing we can remove the ama and prevent disease.
I offer two traditional ayurvedic approaches to cleansing.

Join me for an online cleanse every spring and autumn. This is a supported at home cleanse process. We have a whatsapp group, I send you comprehensive instructions for simple to make foods and daily routines. I'm available online throughout to support your entire healing journey. The next cleanse beings on 21st March and you can read more info HERE

A longer cleanse process is Panchkarma, meaning 5 actions. This is a fully residential process in South Devon and takes a minimum of ten days. There is a preparatory process to complete prior to ariving and an aftercare plan which you need to follow. You can find more information on panchakarma HERE. I have very limited avaolablity for this in 2025 so if it's of interest please do contact me soon.

On Retreat

This year I'm staying a little longer in India than usual to go on retreat myself. I'll be travelling to Vaidyagrama, a well respected Ayurveda centre, where I'll be staying staying for one month from late December. Following this I'll be taking some time in Varanasi to focus on my own practice before returning to the UK in early March. During the first month I won't be online. The lovely Jenna who helps with with my admin and social media will keep a watchful eye. By taking this time out I can ensure that upon my return I can offer you the best possble experience when you join me in a group or one to one session.

Seasonal meditation

Finally today I'm sharing a meditation for gratitude of the abundance we have at this time of year. You can find this and more practices in my book Sattvic Soul.
Sit and make sure you are comfortable.

Begin by bringing to mind a bowl of freshly cooked rice - you might even want to cook some specially and have this in front of you. Notice everything about it. How many grains there must be in just this one bowl. How warm it is, the colour and how the light falls upon each and every grain. Perhaps there is steam coming from the grains. Consider how it will nourish the physical body and the effect it will have on the mind. How comforting and lovely it is to eat. Notice how all the rice grains are the same, in shape and size, and yet each one is also subtly different somehow, unique.

Now consider where you purchased this rice. Maybe a shop or online. Consider the person who helped you to purchase this, in whatever way. They too have a home, if they’re lucky they have people who love them, they eat food and navigate through life, just like you do. Send gratitude to this person. And to the people connected with them, the people who love and support them. Also to the food this person eats that sustains them so they are able to help you. You can now follow this back to the person connected to them who serves their food and so on, or continue as below.

Now consider the person who transported the rice to wherever you purchased it. Consider them in the same way as the previous person, their life, loved ones, home, food and so on. Take your time over each stage and see if you can really visualise these things and people.

Beyond this transportation we have the people who packed the rice. Who are they? Where did the rice get packaged? And what do they need to sustain and nurture them in their everyday life? How did the rice reach the packaging people? Keep going back and back and in and in until you get all the way to the person who planted the rice seed and the people who cared for it as it grew. Consider now their life, their home, their loved ones, the food they eat, and where this comes from? How is their life? Can you send them your love and gratitude?

Sit with this for a while. Feel the enormity of it all. You may never meet these people but know that somehow you and they are linked. We are all interconnected and everything is interwoven. Just like the grains of rice.
We are all the same and yet at the same time unique.

Send them your deepest heartfelt gratitude and love and know that in some small way this vibration of awareness is reaching out to them. Wish all the people in your sphere of awareness well. Hold them in your awareness and in your heart for some time.
