Large freshman class highlights enrollment growth |
UW-Whitewater is welcoming its largest freshman class in 10 years this fall, and the university's enrollment has surpassed 12,000 students — a 3 percent increase from 2024 — according to projections released Tuesday by the Universities of Wisconsin.

Global Experiences Fair set for Wednesday
|
Held once per semester at UW-Whitewater, the Global Experiences Fair allows students to learn about the many international opportunities available, including study abroad and exchange programs, faculty-led travel study, international teaching and Internship, and more. Join us at the University Center North Mall Wednesday, Sept. 17, from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

| Spikeball Tournament coming Friday
|
Join Warhawk Alley for a Spikeball Tournament on Friday, Sept. 19! This tournament is for teams of two players. Check-in and registration begin at 3:30 p.m. at Hamilton Green (by Lot 12). In case of rain, the tournament will be held in the Hamilton Room. Sign up now and bring your energy, teamwork, and competitive spirit for a chance to take the win!

Celebrate the national champion UW-Whitewater baseball team and hear the Warhawk Marching Band at the Milwaukee Brewers game on Friday, Sept. 26, at American Family Field. Prior to first pitch at 7:10 p.m., the team will be recognized and the band will play the national anthem. A $3 donation will be made to the Warhawk baseball program from each ticket sold.

Kudos to Jacob Slinde, a chemistry major from Janesville, Wisconsin, who won the Tim Higgins Innovation Award for his research at the 2025 WiSys Spark Symposium on July 23-25 in Madison. SPARK Symposium »
Kudos to Shia Lee, study abroad coordinator, and John McGuigan, director of the Center for Global Education, who led the session "Touchy Subjects: Talking Politics in Pre-Departure Orientations" at the Wisconsin Association of International Educators conference in Madison in June. During the presentation, participants considered how to prepare study abroad students from all parts of the political spectrum for the questions and assumptions they are likely to encounter abroad.

All students, regardless of major or credits, are eligible to submit up to three artworks for consideration. UW-Whitewater Enactus national title celebration Thursday

The UW-Whitewater Enactus team will celebrate its 2025 national championship and hold a send-off for the team this Thursday, Sept. 18, as it prepares to travel as the representative of the United States at the Enactus World Cup in Thailand.
