Monday-Friday: Warhawks Give Week

Faculty and staff are invited to support students, programs, and opportunities across UW-Whitewater during Warhawks Give Week today through Friday, April 17. Gifts of all sizes make an impact. You can help by giving, sharing the campaign, and encouraging participation. The first 300 donors who give $100+ will receive limited-edition Warhawk socks. Join us and make a difference.

Monday-Friday: 2026 Greek Week

A full slate of events is set for Greek Week, an annual showcase of the Greek community at UW-Whitewater. N8 the Adventuring Magician — a show with adventure and illusion — takes place Thursday, April 16, and is free and open to all students.

Monday, April 20: Neurodiversity speaker 

The College of Business and Economics’ Women in Business Institute presents Ludmila Praslova, who will speak about supporting neurodiversity to better serve productivity and well-being on Monday, April 20, from 11:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the UC Hamilton Room. The event, supported by the Tommy Thompson Speaker Grant, is free and open to the public. Registration is required.

2025-26 Peer mentors

A total of 97 students at UW-Whitewater are serving as peer mentors during the 2025-26 academic year, assisting as resources to students who are new to the university.

Men’s basketball, track and field athletes named all-region

One member of the Warhawk men’s basketball team was selected all-region, while 18 members of the men’s and women’s track and field programs were honored among the best in the region.

Warhawk journalists honored at statewide event

Five UW-Whitewater students were recognized for their 2025 journalistic work at the Wisconsin Newspaper Association's Collegiate Better Newspaper Contest, presented on March 5, 2026, at a luncheon in Madison.

Kudos to Corey Davis, professor of communication, who presented a research paper titled “Attacks, Acclaims, and Defenses in the Historic 2024 U.S. Presidential Debates” at the Western States Communication Association (WSCA) annual convention in San Diego, California, from Feb. 27-March 2.

Kudos to Nick Hwang, associate professor of communication, who composed a new work titled “Prospect Certainty” for trumpet, piano, drumset, a dancer, and electronics for the SPLICE Ensemble of Colby College in Maine. The piece was performed on March 7 as a part of the SPLICE Festival. Nick Hwang »
