Words from the Dean

Hello CON students, employees, community and friends!

Just last month, the Provost recognized our prelicensure department as a Student Success Champion. Our faculty and staff "implement innovative teaching strategies, simulation-based learning, and technology-enhanced instruction." In fact, for the first time in 5 years, we have a waiting list for admission into the BSN program, showing that it's stronger than ever! This is a wonderful move forward and testament to the strength of our college and the work of our faculty.

This month has been busy as we prepare for an influx of future nurses in the Fall. Both campuses have been hosting orientations and meet & greets for BSN and MSN students. We can't wait to see them all again at our White Coat Ceremony in August where we will honor them with white scrub jackets that they can wear to clinical, lab, and simulation!

Thank you so much,

Beth NeSmith

CONgratulations

Recap

Study Abroad: Scotland

Drs. Colleen Walters and Diane Robillard led an incredible study abroad trip for our DNP students. In partnership with University of the Highlands and Islands, our students listened to lectures from UHI faculty researchers, learned about rural healthcare delivery in this population, and visited various hospitals and clinics in the area. They also had some free time to explore lochs, castles, and museums! View all the photos here.
