Legacy Center Receives ‘Gift of Reading’

Cypress College executive, facutly, and students pose with Delta Sigma Theta Sorority members.

Members of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Orange County Alumnae Chapter, recently made a valuable donation to the Cypress College Legacy Program. Before an audience of Cypress executives, faculty, and students, the historic Black sorority presented the “Gift of Reading,” a donation of more than 80 books.

Former Cypress Culinary Student on 'Hell's Kitchen'

Chef Johnathan Benvenuti, former Culinary Arts student, currently appears weekly as a contestant on the reality series "Hell's Kitchen," airing on Fox and Hulu. He has competed on eight episodes of season 22, and has done so well he has survived the grueling Gordon Ramsey hosted cooking show so far, edging out other chefs.

Episode nine airs this Thursday, November 30, and we will be rooting for Chef Johnathan!
