As a reminder, the Gelman Library is still closed for summer HVAC repairs until August 23, 2026. You can still access library services during the Gelman Library closure. Check out the Gelman Library Building Closure page for more information!
-
If you are completing your final program requirements in Summer 2026, please don't forget to submit an online graduation application for Summer 2026 by July 15, 2026.
-
Please visit the Registrar's Office Application Deadlines page for a full list of graduation application deadlines.
-
If you need to review your graduation application to check your diploma name or mailing address, please log in to GWeb and select "View Graduation Application."
-
Review the GW Alumni Account FAQs. Once you complete your degree requirements, you are subject to the alumni email storage limit. The FAQ page includes tips to maintain access to your GW email and the information in your GW-associated Google Drive and Calendar.
-
If you will be completing your thesis or dissertation in Summer 2026, please continue to be mindful of ETD clearance deadlines for both Ph.D. students and for Master’s students completing a thesis.
-
The 2026 Summer Sessions are underway! As a reminder, you are not required to register in Summer Sessions to maintain enrollment unless specifically directed to do so by your program. Please visit the Registrar's Office Summer Sessions page for a full list of key registration dates. Key dates this month include:
- Sunday, July 12: Last day to add a Summer Session II class via RTF-EZ; the last day to drop a Summer Session II class via any means.
- Sunday, July 26: Last day to withdraw from a Summer Session II class with a grade of “W” using the RTF-EZ or GWeb.
- Please note that the 100% tuition refund period is shorter in Summer Sessions than it is during the fall and spring semesters. Pay close attention to how the length of your Summer Session course compares to the schedule laid out in the Tuition Refund Policy.
- Enrollment in the Student Accounts Office's Fall 2026 Monthly Payment Plan will be open from July 11 - August 9, 2026.
-
The monthly payment plan enables students or their authorized users to pay current Fall, Spring, and Summer semester tuition and fees in four equal payments per semester.
-
You can enroll in the Monthly Payment Plan via your Student Accounts eBill. Check out the Student Accounts Office's Enrolling in a Payment Plan tutorial for a step-by-step walkthrough!
- The GW Trustworthy AI Initiative is currently recruiting participants for a research study on Human–AI Interaction. The study explores how humans and AI agents work together on decision-making tasks and is open to currently enrolled GW students who are 18 years of age or older, regardless of major. Participants will be accepted on a rolling basis over the summer.
- Participation involves a single in-person session (approximately 60 minutes) at the GW Science and Engineering Hall (SEH) Sociotechnical Sandbox. Participants will role-play fictional student personas, collaborate with an AI advisor to complete simulated academic advising tasks, and complete brief surveys throughout the session. Participants will receive $20 for completing the study.
- If you are interested in participating, please email Sarah Starr at sarah.starr@gwu.edu with the subject line "Human-AI Interaction Study." Please contact Sarah Starr with any questions or concerns.
