Dear Eagle Nation:
Coppin State University left an indelible mark during its recent visit to the Capitol, creating a memorable experience for legislators. The university warmly welcomed lawmakers with carefully curated Coppin State gift bags, fostering a hospitable atmosphere. Legislators were not only greeted but also encouraged to partake in a shared lunch with students, faculty, staff, administrator, and alumni facilitating meaningful conversations and connections.
Throughout the visit, Coppin State effectively showcased its strengths through insightful presentations from various departments, including admissions, IT, the College of Health Professions, Education, and Business Programs.

White House HBCU Scholars Application
The 2024 HBCU Scholar Recognition Program Application is now open, courtesy of The White House Initiative on Advancing Educational Equity, Excellence, and Economic Development through Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
The Initiative is actively seeking exceptional and talented student leaders from HBCUs to participate in this prestigious program. Those chosen will collaborate with the Initiative for an entire academic school year, engaging in an immersive experience alongside fellow students and partners from diverse disciplines.
The nomination period closes April 19, 2024.
