Beginning Friday, August 25th after morning drop off, Eagle Run Drive will be closed for reconstruction from the entrance of the Champions Run Club to 140th St. for two weeks, weather permitting.
This will have a major impact on our school and church traffic. Unfortunately, we were just notified of this on Friday, August 18th by the City of Omaha. We did ask them to delay the project, but they have declined our request to wait until the end of the school year.
This will put a strain on entering and exiting the property, as all traffic will need to enter from 144th St. as well as exit to 144th St. We would strongly suggest carpooling whenever possible.
We will have a sign at our south exit directing traffic to stay in the left lane of our lot if they plan to go south on 144th St. and in the right lane if they plan to go north on 144th St. Those going straight across 144th St. to the west must use the left lane.
The City is discussing the possibility of adding some time to the stoplights on 144th St. to help reduce congestions, but we don’t anticipate this happening on weekdays at this time due to normal commuter traffic on 144th St.
We know this is an inconvenience and will at times be challenging. Please be respectful and practice patience. We are all in this together! Thank you!
