Armando Durón '76 and Mary Salinas Durón '75 began collecting Chicano/a/x art as a means to preserve cultural identities and historical narratives. This Laband exhibition, drawn from The Durón Family Collection, offers a distinct journey through Chicanx art from the mid-1900s to the present.

The music department and the Marymount Institute for Faith, Culture, and the Arts presents a concert series featuring violinist Ken Aiso and pianist Valeria Morgovskaya. Concerts will take place on the first Thursday of the month, 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. in the Marymount Center (University Hall 3002).

The Marymount Institute for Faith, Culture, and the Arts invites the LMU community to experience Balinese gamelan. Instruments were created in the workshop of a master instrument maker in the Gianyar region of Bali.

Virtuoso pianist Wojciech Kocyan presents his annual recital. He will perform "Chopin Ballade No 1" and rarely performed sonatas by Haydn and Scriabin. The program will conclude with "Carnaval" by Robert Schumann—inspired by the famous Venetian carnivals, a time of merriment, masked balls, and fun and games! A reception will follow.

The CFA Dean's Office is hosting a discussion centered around technological innovation and its impact on teaching, learning, and creating. The panel will feature Stacey Cabaj (Theatre Arts), Joyce Yip Green (Marital and Family Therapy/Art Therapy), Natalie Ngai (Communication Studies), and David S. Carter (Music).

Designed to deepen your understanding of infant and early childhood development and its profound impact on the populations, this workshop, hosted by Marital and Family Therapy/Art Therapy, will explore how early attachment and relationship dynamics manifest in individuals.

Theater Arts presents a dystopian play that explores the themes of government interference, company monopolies, scarcity, and revolution. Urinetown is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International.
